New chicken sandwiches are dispatching the nation over this year, yet one specific inexpensive food chain is experiencing difficulty carrying out its most recent creation in Michigan. Burger King’s discharge of its better than ever chicken sandwich, which was reported in February, has been deferred in the Wolverine state in light of the fact that of a pickle shortage.
What was initially expected to be a March 23 presentation at Burger King areas in West Michigan currently gives off an impression of being a mid-April rollout, Jim MacDonald, VP of activities for Burger King Grand Rapids, told nearby media source WOOD-TV. The new Crispy Chicken Sandwich is a move up to the chain’s current contribution, with another hand-breaded chicken filet as the star of the show. Yet, it’s a couple of cuts of shop pickles, which both the work of art and fiery variants of the new sandwich should incorporate, that are holding up the entire operation.
“We have pickles for Whoppers, yet these are extremely extraordinary greater, crunchier, lively pickles,” MacDonald told WOOD-TV. He proceeded to clarify that the issue isn’t actually the pickles but instead the year-long lack of canning containers coming from the pandemic.
“The issue was we were unable to get the pickles, since they couldn’t get the containers during the pandemic,” he said. “They couldn’t make the containers to place the pickles in to get them to us so they couldn’t make enough to get them where we required them.”
Based on the prevalence of the chicken sandwich in the business sectors where it has effectively appeared, the Michigan administrator reasoned that the pickles available wouldn’t be sufficient to cover the looming demand.
As for how Burger King’s new sandwich will pile up in the chicken sandwich wars, MacDonald is more than idealistic. “We may be one of the last ones in, yet you watch,” he said. “We got the best one.”
